How does one use the F3D-1? I recently got the F3D-1, I've played a few matches already but I've not lived through one completely. I don't know how to play the Skyknight, so if anyone has any tips I'd appreciate them. I'd like to bring it into ground RB, but I don't have any of the mods… This thread is archived

Head ons are your biggest friend and it actually has decent energy retention in my experience. With good use of flaps you can turn quite fast aswell. Take this with a grain of salt though I guess because it's been about a year since I've flown it and I haven't even touched war thunder in 6 months. Flat-Tower2162.

The F3D-1 can dogfight about everything at that BR range, except for the MK8 Meteors. (Those are 7.7 and 8.0 anyway.) I recommend a nice 7.5° climb towards the enemy. You will meet enemy attackers, usually the Me-262 variants. You can easily dogfight those and win.

The F3D-1 is was an amazing jet for ground RB and SB becouse it can carry two tiny tims or two 2000lbs bombs AND getting an air spawn after resupplying/repair which means you can land and be back in the air with 500-600 kmh amazingly fast with a aced crew Before the SPAA radar feature you could dominate the battlefield if nobody was in a fighter.
