Bukit Merese or Merese Hill is one of my favorite places in Lombok. Located on the western side of Tanjung Aan, the best beach in Kuta, Bukit Merese is the best sunset viewpoint around Kuta. And the views aren't too bad during the day either. To one side you see the picturesque Serenting Beach and Seger surfing Beach lined with majestic palm trees.

Bukit Merese Hill is an outcrop in the south of Lombok near Kuta with magical views of the surrounding beaches and a gorgeous sunset view. It is surrounded by white sand beaches on both sides. There are lots of small beaches in many nooks and crannies in the outcrop.

The stunning Merese Hill in West Nusa Tenggara is located in the Tanjung Aan Beach Area. It takes approximately 20 minutes from Kuta Mandalika to Merese Hill by car. Even though it's famous for its beautiful sunsets, it doesn't mean that Merese Hill during mornings doesn't share the same beauty.

Merese Hill, known locally as Bukit Merese, is around a 20 minute drive East from Kuta, the main tourist area in Lombok. We always choose to rent scooters, which start at around 50,000 IDR per day, and explore ourselves. These can usually be rented from your accommodation or they will point you in the right direction.
